Production of extensive or concise reports on any
emergent or historical situation
The history of a boundary dispute can go back
centuries, or be of relatively recent origin (despite, in
some instances, a national mythology that “legitimates” a
claim by the construction of quasi truths.) They can remain
at simmering point for years, or lie submerged for an age
(think, for example, of the potential for disagreement
which lay essentially buried beneath the edifice of the
Soviet Union until its collapse in 1989/1990.) In both
instances, the history of disputes has a tendency to be
tortuous and complex, within even minor twists and turns
acquiring an exaggerated significance that outsiders find
difficult to understand.
Menas Borders produces historical reports for clients,
to help them understand the background and cause of
disputes and the factors which triggered their emergence or
conflagration, in order that future scenarios can be
anticipated or understood. Depending on your needs, such
reports can be highly condensed for maximum impact, or more
extensive, lending themselves to a more nuanced
understanding of a situation.
In all instances reports will draw on the knowledge of
one or more regional experts, will be independent and
bipartisan in nature, and highly readable in
style.
